How Far Will The Band Travel?

Untold are happy to travel throughout Hampshire, Dorset, Surrey, Wiltshire, Somerset, country wide & abroad. All of their travel costs are calculated in a radius from BA20.

How Much Does It Cost To Book Untold?

All prices are dependent on your specific requirements, eg: how long you’d like the band to play for, the nature & location of your event, and arrival & finish times. Untold are flexible and will give you the absolute best for your budget; simply provide the band with as much information on your wedding or event as possible so that they can provide you with a quick and accurate quote.

Does The Band Require A Deposit?

In order to secure a booking, the band require a 20% booking deposit and directions in how to make this payment are included within the contract. Once a signed copy of the contract has been returned and the deposit payment received Untold will then be able to confirm a booking within their performance schedule.

How Do I Pay The Band?

Untold accept payment through cash, cheque, bank transfer and Paypal.  Invoices are supplied upon booking with full payment details and receipts are provided as soon as payments have been processed.

Can I Pay In Installments?

Of course. We are flexible and more than happy to accept payment of the final balance in instalments leading up to the event. Simply get in touch to enquire about available payment plans.

What Happens Once I've Booked?

Once the band has received your signed contract and the deposit payment, they will email you your ‘Event Checklist’ approximately 3 weeks before the date of your event. This document will assist you in structuring your entertainment, where you will be able to reaffirm all your requirements for the day as well as clarifying any specific timings, including artist arrival time, sound check, and individual set times/DJ times. It will also be your opportunity to create your custom-made laptop DJ playlist and to select all of the songs from the bands song-list that you would like included within the live performance. It’s all very straight forward; all you have to do is follow the instructions on the checklist! Should you prefer to get started on your Checklist sooner then you can download it from the client area.

Does The Band Provide A Contract?

Yes, Untold will send over a contract confirming your requirements for the day and this document will include the bands Terms & Conditions. You will simply need to return a signed copy, together with your deposit, to confirm the booking within the bands schedule. The contract serves as a legally binding agreement between both parties.

What If I Need To Postpone My Event?

Should you make the difficult decision to postpone your event, the band are able to transfer your booking to a new date. There are no additional fees when rescheduling with the band. Knowing that there are often a number of suppliers involved in an event, the band will offer to send over a full calendar of their availability to assist you in aligning all of your suppliers and rescheduling the date. As is always the case, Untold will be as flexible and accommodating as possible. However, if a client chooses to proceed with a new date that the band is unavailable for, the band will unfortunately be forced to consider this a cancellation and proceed with the cancellation terms outlined in the booking contract.

Can You Hold A Date For Me?

Yes, however, due to demand the band operate on strict first come-first served basis and are only able to hold a date for a client until they are approached with a conflicting inquiry. Should a second client approach the band for a date that is currently on hold, the band will offer the initial client the opportunity to proceed with the booking before confirming availability to the second client.

What If A Member Cannot Perform?

Although Untold consist of 4 core permanent members, illness and unavoidable duties outside of the band can of course occur, and although such unfortunate circumstances are admittedly rare, the band must be prepared for each and every potential scenario. Therefore, Untold have accumulated a roster of professional musicians that they are able to call upon at any time to deputise for any given full-time member of the band. These deputy musicians have been meticulously selected, meaning advertised for, shortlisted and auditioned, not only for their musical abilities, but also for their professionalism and qualities as people, ensuring that their inclusion would be utterly seamless and never impact on the quality of the service. The band strongly believe that planning for even the most unlikely of scenarios will offer their clients greater peace of mind, knowing that Untold are 101% committed to performing at your event!

Are Untold Insured?

Absolutely! Untold are a fully insured professional wedding entertainment business with public liability cover for up to £10,000,000. Their equipment is of the very best that money can buy and is fully PAT-Tested. The band are able to provide certificates upon request and will gladly pass them on to your venue, or you can download them for yourself over in the client area!

Does The Band Provide Their Own Gear?

Yes!…and it’s all PAT-Tested. Untold are completely self-contained so you do not need to worry about a thing!

What Are The Bands Power Requirements?
Untold require 3/4 power sockets and these must be within close proximity of the allocated performance space. For outside events such as marquee weddings, the band will only use a licensed power generator and will require 6/7kw of power to be made available to them.
When Does The Band Arrive To Set-up?
Untold are very flexible and are able to attend your venue in advance of the event itself in order to setup their equipment (some setup times will incur an additional charge). For an evening performance, the bands’ standard setup time is 6pm, but the aim to fit in with proceedings as best as possible. Untold require a minimum of 60 minutes to setup their equipment and an additional 10 minutes to sound check their equipment and will therefore need access to the venue at least 70 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time. The band will also require an additional 60 minutes in order to dismantle their equipment after the event has finished.
How Long Will The Band Play For?
As long as you want! A typical performance usually consists of 2x one-hour sets, with an interval included, and the band find this to be the best option for most events. However, the band can offer a variety of packages, and these are listed below and on our Packages page. Our top tier package can be completely tailored to suit your personal requirements, so you have the freedom to alter just about anything; the band has simply provided the most common choices as examples.

 

SILVER Live Entertainment Package:
1 hour 30 mins performance
Typically 2×45 minute sets – OR – 1×90 minute set

 

GOLD Live Entertainment Package:
2 hours performance
Typically 2×60 minute sets – OR – 3×40 minute sets

 

PLATINUM Live Entertainment Package:
2 hours 30 Minutes performance
Typically 2×1 hour 15 minute sets – OR – 3×50 minute sets
Does The Band Provide Music Around Sets?

They certainly do! Untold will work with you to create a custom-made Laptop DJ playlist, which is typically performed either side & between the live performance itself. So, if there is a particular type of music, or perhaps a selection of songs that you would like included within your custom-made DJ Playlist, then the band can provide! Untold always encourage clients to get involved within this process, simply to make the event that much more personal to all those in attendance. Alternatively to this option, the band allows clients the opportunity to connect their personal iPod to their PA System, so that they may perform their own custom made playlists should they prefer…the decision is entirely yours! Untold also welcome song requests on the night; the bands Laptop music database is incredibly vast, so they are confident that they are able to deliver on almost any request!

Do Untold Take Requests?
Untold love to make your event that extra bit special, and are able to learn a special song to include within the live performance! This can be performed as your first dance, or rather as part of the main set; simply let the band know the artist & song title and they shall have it done! Special song requests are included in our GOLD and PLATINUM packages but additional requests cost an additional fee in order to cover the bands rehearsal costs and the band do ask that you make any requests well in advance of your event.

 

Please note: Untold are a 4-piece male fronted pop/rock band consisting of Male Vocals, Guitars, Bass & Drums. The band therefore kindly ask that their clients consider their line-up when making any live song requests, eg: a female-sung, big-band piece is likely to sound VERY different should the band be asked to learn it!
Do Untold Require A Stage?

The band can perform with or without staging, indoors or outdoors. However, a performance area of at least 5m x 3.5m will be required.

Can I Watch The Band Live Before I Book?
The band would love you to! Most of Untold’s performances throughout the year are for private functions, however, they do play a handful of public shows. The band will advertise any events that are open to the public on the events page and on their official Facebook page.
What If Our Venue Has A Sound Limiter?
We will always abide by your venues sound regulations and will do their very best to perform at a level that appeases both their audience and the venue staff. However, there is a limit as to how quietly the band can perform at without it having a negative impact upon their performance. Should you be unsure whether your venue has a sound limiter installed or any noise restrictions then we will happily contact them on your behalf.
