Got a question? Find the answers below or get in touch with us!

Pricing & Packages
How much does it cost to hire Untold for a wedding?

Prices vary depending on the date, location, timings and which package you choose. As a guide, most couples book us for an evening reception package, with optional add-ons like an acoustic set or sax/DJ options. Send us your date + venue and we’ll come back quickly with availability and a tailored quote.

Do you offer different wedding band packages?

Yes. We offer a few clear packages depending on what you need — from a classic evening reception band set, to enhanced options with add-ons (e.g. acoustic drinks reception, sax, extra sets, late finish, etc.). We’ll recommend the best fit for your schedule and venue.

What’s included in your standard price?

Typically: the live band, professional PA, stage lighting, setup and soundcheck, plus background music between live sets (if you’d like it). We’ll confirm exactly what’s included in your quote.

Can we add a DJ service as well?

Yes — we can provide a DJ-style playlist service between sets and/or a DJ add-on for after the band finishes (depending on your setup and requirements). Tell us what vibe you want and what time you’d like music until.

Do you offer midweek discounts?

Often, yes. Midweek and off-peak dates can be more cost-effective. Ask us for your date and we’ll let you know what options are available.

Do you charge extra for travel?

Travel can affect pricing depending on distance, access and timings (especially for very late finishes). We’ll always be transparent — your quote will include any travel costs.

How Do I Pay The Band?

Untold accept payment through cash, cheque, bank transfer and Paypal.  Invoices are supplied upon booking with full payment details and receipts are provided as soon as payments have been processed.

Can I Pay In Installments?

Of course. We are flexible and more than happy to accept payment of the final balance in instalments leading up to the event. Simply get in touch to enquire about available payment plans.

Availability & Booking
Is my date available?

The quickest way is to message us with your wedding date and venue (or postcode). We’ll confirm availability as soon as possible.

How far in advance should we book?

Popular summer weekends can book up 12–24 months ahead. If your date is sooner, it’s still worth checking — we do sometimes have availability.

How do we secure the booking?

Once you’re happy to go ahead, we’ll send a booking confirmation and take a deposit to secure the date. The balance is then due closer to the wedding (we’ll confirm the timing in writing).

Do you provide a contract/booking agreement?

Yes — we provide clear booking confirmation details so everyone knows exactly what’s included, timings, and the plan for the day.

What information do you need from us to give a quote?

Wedding date, venue name/postcode, expected timings (when you want the band to start/finish), and any extras you’re considering (acoustic set, sax, DJ add-on, first dance, etc.).

Can you hold a date while we decide?

If we’re free, we can usually hold a date for a short period while you finalise details — just ask.

Music & Performance
What style of music do you play?

We’re all about packed dancefloors — a mix of floor-fillers, singalongs and feel-good classics, tailored to everyone in your crowd. We’ll share our setlist and videos so you can see the vibe.

Can we choose songs from your setlist?

Yes. You can highlight favourites and “must plays”, and we’ll do our best to shape the night around what you love.

Can we request songs that aren’t on your setlist?

Often yes — let us know your requests in advance. Some songs work brilliantly live; if something isn’t suitable we’ll suggest great alternatives.

Will you learn our first dance song?

In almost all cases, yes. If you’d like a live first dance, tell us the song and we’ll confirm what’s possible and any lead time needed.

How long do you play for?

Most weddings include multiple live sets across the evening (for example 2 x 60 minutes or 3 x 40 minutes), with background music between. We’ll recommend the best structure for your schedule and venue.

Do you play during the day as well (ceremony/drinks reception)?

Yes — we can provide an acoustic set for drinks reception and/or relaxed background music earlier in the day, then switch to full band later.

Do you provide background music between sets?

Yes. We can run a DJ-style playlist through our PA between sets to keep the energy up while we take a short break.

Setup, Space & Sound
Do you provide PA and lighting?

Yes — we bring a professional PA system and stage lighting suitable for most wedding venues. We’ll adapt to your space and any venue restrictions.

How much space do you need?

As a guide, we can work with most venue stages/dancefloor areas. Tell us the room layout and we’ll advise. If space is tight, we’ll scale the setup appropriately.

How long do you need to set up?

Typically 60–90 minutes, depending on access and the size of the setup. We’ll agree arrival and setup times with you and/or the venue.

Do you need a sound limiter? Are you experienced with them?

Yes — many venues use sound limiters and we’re used to working with them. Everything about our sestup is designed with this in mind. We can adjust our setup and sound approach to stay within limits while keeping it sounding great.

What power do you need?

Usually a couple of standard 13A sockets on separate circuits near the performance area is ideal. If your venue has specific requirements, we’ll work with them.

Logistics & On-the-day
What time do you usually start?

Most bands start after the evening guests arrive — often around 8–9pm — but it varies. We’ll help you choose the best start time based on your schedule.

Can you make announcements (first dance, last song, etc.)

Yes — we’re happy to coordinate key moments like first dance, bouquet toss, cake cut, and last song.

What do you wear?

We dress appropriately for weddings — smart, professional, and aligned with your event style. If you have a theme/dress code, tell us and we’ll match it where possible.

Do you need food and drinks?

We appreciate soft drinks and a meal if we’re onsite for a long period, especially for early arrivals/late finishes. We’ll include requirements in the booking details so it’s clear.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes — we carry spares for key items and have contingency plans for common issues.

Policies, Insurance & Reassurance
Are you insured and PAT tested?

Yes — we can provide Public Liability Insurance and PAT documentation on request.

What happens if a band member is ill?

We plan for contingencies. If someone is unexpectedly unavailable, we’ll do everything possible to provide a suitable replacement so your night goes ahead as planned.

What’s your cancellation policy?

We keep things fair and clear. The cancellation terms are outlined in your booking confirmation so you know exactly where you stand.

Can you play at venues with strict noise restrictions?

Yes — we’ll work with the venue to understand the rules and plan a setup that sounds great while staying compliant.

Do you travel outside your local area?

Yes — we regularly travel for weddings. Tell us your venue location and we’ll confirm what’s possible and any travel costs.
